John Knudsen

John began his aviation career in high school flying a Cessna 140 earning his private pilot’s certificate. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and completed a Masters degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle International University. During his 20 year Air Force career, he was selected for the prestigious USAF Fighter Weapons School and amassed over 3000 A-10 hours in the European and Pacific theaters. John’s flown more than 20,000 hours and is type rated in the Boeing 747,757,767,777 and 787He flies his RV-7 often and married his soul mate, Heather; son Zach, is continuing the aviation tradition with multiple instructor certificates and will soon be flying for a major airline. John enjoys hiking with his Australian shepherd, Koda.
