Gordon Johnson

Gordon started his professional career in law enforcement. Simultaneously working police patrol and also attending Arizona State University (Engineering – Aeronautical Technology), Gordon further obtained his commercial multi-engine instrument pilots license, and soon thereafter bought his first aircraft with a fellow officer. In a leap of faith, Gordon took a leave of absence from the police department and started a fledgling aircraft charter company – Executive Aircraft Services. That was in 1983. Gordon obtained his Airline Transport Pilot certificate in 1988, further adding 5 jet ‘type ratings’ and accumulating 10,000+ hours in a variety of business jets along the way, acting as PIC/Captain in Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Gordon purchased a Fixed Base Operation and FAA Part 145 station in 1993 and grew it into a successful venture before selling it in 2003. Since then, Gordon’s primary focus has been in corporate aircraft sales, personally responsible for successfully closing over 400 transactions representing $750MM in gross sales. Gordon is married to his wife Ruthie, and together they have 4 grown children, 3 grandchildren and two dogs. Gordon’s ‘other’ passion, aside from his family, is actively competing across the US and Canada in car racing events (vintage race cars on closed road courses). He also is involved in vintage car collecting, is active in charity and benevolent activities, enjoys travel and flying his ‘Vietnam war’ era Cessna A-37B ‘Dragonfly’ jet fighter. Gordon also still volunteers with an Arizona Law Enforcement organization.
